7 key points to take home
New SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 maintenance strategy enables faster adoption of innovation without disruption
SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 provides the platform for new BI experiences (SAP Mobile BI, SAP Design Studio,
SAP Lumira, SAP Predictive Analysis)
Upgrading from XI to SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 platform:
– Saves time and resources to manage and administrate your system
– Provides greater levels of enterprise readiness
– Lowers user support calls with intuitive information access
The most current release is 4.1 Support Pack 5
The recommended method to upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1 is to apply the incremental patch installer
Adopt the remote supportability tools: SAP Router, Remote Support Component, and Solution Manager. BI
Remote Supportability can allow an SAP engineer to connect directly to a customer’s BI deployment in order to
troubleshoot an issue. Either by utilizing Solution Manager or the Remote Support Component, customers can
monitor and evaluate their own BI platform system.
