beforehand to judgment and be blotted out. NOW IS THE TIME to “cleanse ourselves from
all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (2Co_7:1). It is

NOW IS THE TIME to receive grace and strength and power to combine with our human
efforts that we can form characters for everlasting life. {HP 369.4}
The sealing time is very short, and will soon be over. NOW IS THE TIME, while the four

none, for fear of losing prestige with the world, obscure one ray of light coming from the Source

Satan is making every effort to bring in spiritualistic sophistries, to throw his deceptions over
minds. NOW IS THE TIME for every follower of Christ to be clothed with the whole armor
of God, and to fight manfully against the encroachments of the power of darkness. Let not our

steady, abiding faith in God, faith that will stand the trial, such faith as Elijah had when he
prayed for rain. He prayed once and sent his servant to see if there was any sign of his prayer
being answered, and although there was none, outward appearance was against him, yet he did
not give up in discouragement but bid his servant to go again yet seven times. Elijah had faith

NOW IS THE TIME to restrain and control your child. … Little pranks and errors may
seem to be amusing when the child is a baby, and they may be permitted and encouraged, but as
the child grows older, they become disgusting and offensive. {6MR 48.2}
Then I was shown concerning the wicked who now die and are happy. ... I saw that the wicked
were Satan’s lawful prey, and that they were completely deceived by him; therefore NOW IS
THE TIME when there are no bands in the death of the wicked. {6MR 170.5}
God help us to walk and work as men and women on the border of the eternal world. Soon an
awful surprise will come upon the inhabitants of this earth. Suddenly, and with power and great
glory, Christ will come. Then there will be no time to prepare to meet Him. NOW IS THE

Oh, that the people of God would take this to heart! That they would consider that not one wrong
will be righted after Jesus comes! Not one error of character will be removed when Christ shall
come. Now is our time of preparation. Now is our time of washing our robes of character in the
blood of the Lamb. If we go on excusing our errors and trying to make ourselves believe we are

wanting. Many profess the truth but are not sanctified through the truth.—Manuscript 5, 1874,

Plants must be made in the cities. NOW IS THE TIME to give the third angel’s message.
But this cannot be done in church buildings. Camp meetings must be held, not one mammoth
camp meeting, but several camp meetings in different places. The holding of camp meetings is
one of the most successful ways of working for the Lord. These meetings should continue two or
three weeks, and during this time earnest work should be done for believers and unbelievers. The
work done at these meetings should never be of a cheap, low grade. Men of the best spiritual
gifts should attend, men who can give the messages for this time, and properly bring out the
features of our faith which make us what we are—Seventh-day Adventists. {10MR 350.2}
More aggressive work must be done. Plants must be made in the cities. NOW IS THE
TIME to give the third angel’s message. {14MR 165.2}
NOW IS THE TIME to work, just now. There is not a moment to lose. All national,
denominational, and sectarian distinctions between rank and rank, between caste and caste, are
lost. The message is to be proclaimed in the highways and byways and hedges. Every human
agent is merging his character under one of two heads—the Prince of Life and the prince of
darkness. To those who receive Christ He gives power to become loyal sons of God. They keep
His commandments. The benediction rests upon them, “Blessed are they that do His
commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates
into the city” (Rev_22:14). The commandment breakers are left outside with the false shepherds
whom they believed, and with “whosoever loveth and maketh a lie” (Rev_22:15). {15MR 223.1}
The work is before us individually. Our moral identity cannot be submerged in any human being.
We shall be called of God to do our work according to our several ability. The vineyard is large
and requires every jot of moral power everyone has had entrusted to him or her. Partition walls
will be broken down. Everyone who will hear the message and believe the truth will no longer be
confined, bound to creeds, but will take the Bible as his guide, as the very creed of life, as the
waters of salvation. The very intensity of the light shining from heaven makes men messengers
of truth and salvation. They cannot hold their peace. They have accepted the truth and emerged
into the light, the light shining in these last days. {15MR 223.2}
Satan knows he cannot make us doubt the truth. The arguments of our enemies are powerless and
effect nothing against the truth. Satan knows that his only way now is to try to separate very near
friends and thereby weaken the children of God. United you’ll stand. Divided you’ll fall. Oh,
press together; grieve not the angels of God who are watching over you. Let them not bear the
tidings upward that you are disunited, each one pulling apart. Remember, NOW IS THE
TIME that God is gathering His people into the unity of the faith. Will you not be co-workers
with God, and press together? {17MR 343.1}

7. God’s people are to have clear spiritual eyesight, else they will fail of securing advantages that
God desires them to secure. We have plain evidence that God’s hand is upon the wheel of His
providence. The great crisis is before us. NOW IS THE TIME for us to warn the world by
the distribution of our publications and by the establishment of sanitariums and schools. And let
us never lose sight of the great object for which these interests are established—the advancement
of God’s work. {18MR 186.2}
Hygienic restaurants are to be started in our cities. Thus a good work may be done. God will give
His people skill and wisdom to make wholesome, palatable foods. He who in the wilderness
gave manna to the children of Israel, is our God, ready to give light and knowledge to those
whose desire it is to glorify Him. Those in charge of our restaurants should take a firm stand to
close them on the Sabbath. Thus they proclaim the Sabbath truth. {18MR 186.3}
NOW IS THE TIME for God’s people not to be in a corner, not where they have been over
and over, but where their gifts are new. {18MR 252.1}
How does the Lord look upon the unworked cities? Christ is in heaven. Now its acknowledgment
is to be, “There is no kingly rule. And now is the crisis of this world. Now I am the Power to
save or to destroy. NOW IS THE TIME when the destiny of all is in My hands. I have
given My life to save the world. And ‘I, if I be lifted up,’ the saving grace I shall impart will
prove that all who will be fashioned after the divine similitude and will be one with Me shall
work as I work with My power of redeeming grace.” {20MR 20.4}
Let all your works, however humble they may be, be of a character to save precious souls for
whom Christ has died. Be sure that you have the spirit of Jesus and present to others the truth as
it is in Jesus. The Lord loves those who are contrite in heart. NOW IS THE TIME to form a
character unto eternal life, to receive light, and to make the most of your precious opportunities
to diffuse light. It is by imparting that which you receive, that you will grow in grace and in
Christian experience, becoming a worker together with God. {20MR 77.1}
NOW IS THE TIME for the Lord’s people to return to him His own in gifts and offerings
and in willing, earnest service. {20MR 130.4}
We have a Saviour who is at hand, and not afar off; and NOW IS THE TIME to make your
calling and election sure. Your life insurance policy you will find in 2 Peter 1:2-11 [quoted].

Mark especially 2 Peter 1:8-11. In order to have this positive assurance, you must begin to work,
as the Holy Spirit works you, on altogether different lines, from inward to outward. You need not
feel that you must mingle the common with the sacred. {20MR 201.5}

8. NOW IS THE TIME to obtain the white robe of character. NOW IS THE TIME to
confess and forsake sin and come to God with contrition of soul, that your sins may be blotted
out and your names retained in the Lamb’s Book of Life. {21MR 383.4}
I am encouraging souls to examine their own hearts and to seek counsel most earnestly from
God. NOW IS THE TIME for us to afflict our souls by fasting and prayer. We cannot lay
out the way in which the Lord will work, but we can follow the leadings and drawings of His
Holy Spirit. We shall gain nothing by lifting up our souls unto vanity and in self-confidence.

Jesus is coming. Great and important events are just before us. Are we ready, waiting and
watching? Have we on the wedding garment, the robe of Christ's righteousness? NOW IS

9. THE TIME to secure this wedding garment. We must make no delay, but open the door of our
hearts to the Saviour, who has long stood knocking for admittance. {ST May 22, 1884 para. 10}
Every one will be exposed to the fierce fire of trial and temptation. If we would not be consumed
as dross, we must have the love of God--the gold that has been tried--abiding in us. NOW IS
THE TIME to soften and subdue our rough, harsh traits of character. We must cherish
kindness, forbearance, Christian integrity. {ST May 25, 1882 para. 13}
NOW IS THE TIME to put forth earnest efforts. Men and women are needed to work in the
great missionary field with determined effort, praying, and weeping, sowing the precious seed of
truth in imitation of the Redeemer, who was the Prince of missionaries. {ST July 8, 1886 para.

NOW IS THE TIME for us to walk humbly with God, to watch unto prayer, and be diligent
students of the Scriptures, that we may know the truth and obey it, and gain eternal life in the
Paradise of God. {ST May 5, 1887 para 15}
None will ever enter the city of God who do not reverence the statutes of its government; and
NOW IS THE TIME allotted to us to gain the mastery, through divine grace, over every
rebellious thought and action; to work out our own salvation, not with boasting self-confidence,
but with fear and trembling. We are not to pander to the prejudices and customs of this world at
the expense of our obligations to God. We should live as in the sight of Heaven, with no other
object for our ambition and toil than the glory of our Creator and Redeemer; live, believing that

Our lives can be so connected with God that we can have this oneness with Christ. Our thoughts,
inclinations, desires, and appetites may all be on the Lord's side. Then we shall have nothing
separate and distinct from Christ. There will be perfect harmony between our hearts and his, so
that we shall be one with him as he is one with the Father. And NOW IS THE TIME to
come into this union with Christ. {ST March 25, 1889 para. 3}
We should seek God now for his pardoning grace. NOW IS THE TIME to obtain genuine
religious experience for the trying scenes that are just before us. {ST June 10, 1889 para. 3}
Those who wish to be covered in the day of God's anger, must be true to God now. NOW IS
THE TIME to show our fidelity to God, and our faith in Christ.{ST June 2, 1890 Para. 7}
If we would receive the light of the glorious angel that shall lighten the earth with his glory, let
us see to it that our hearts are cleansed, emptied of self, and turned toward heaven, that they may
be ready for the latter rain. Let us be obtaining a fitting up to join in the proclamation of the

10. THE TIME for us to let self die, to crucify the flesh, with the affections and lusts, to deny the
cravings of appetite and passion. {ST September 26, 1891 para. 14}
NOW IS THE TIME when God calls upon us to honor his precepts that have been made
void. As soon as the light shines upon us, we are to seek, by voice and pen and influence, to
make up the breach in the law of God. {ST June 12, 1893 para. 12}
NOW IS THE TIME to look to it that we have on hand an abundant supply of the oil of the
grace of Christ. …He is pleased with those whose experience is like that of a lamp that is
burning brightly. His followers are to shine as lights in the world. Christ's servants are to keep
their lamps trimmed and burning, that they may add their light to the light of others who are
following Christ. …The time is far spent. It is too late now to sleep the careless sleep of
indifference. It is time now to rejoice greatly because of the Bridegroom's voice. It is time to sing

NOW IS THE TIME to prepare for the coming King. Cultivate the mind; for it is capable of
the highest cultivation. Prepare to be among those who shall be saved with an everlasting
salvation when the Master comes to gather out His jewels. "It doth not yet appear what we shall
be; but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He
is." {ST April 17, 1901 para. 16}
Parents, NOW IS THE TIME to form in your children habits of industry, self-reliance, and
self-control; to cultivate economy and business tact. NOW IS THE TIME to teach them
courtesy and benevolence toward their fellow men, and reverence and love for God. {OHC

Just NOW IS THE TIME of our test and trial. Now is the seedtime of grace and the
ripening harvest. {RH January 10, 1899 para. 14}
We have no time now to be idle and indifferent. We must strive to develop a Christian character.
Our spiritual understanding must be cleansed, purified, sanctified, and ennobled. All are now
taking sides. It is ours now to choose a blessing or a curse. NOW IS THE TIME for us to

11. Never are we to lose sight of the great object for which our sanitariums are established—the

The voice of Providence is calling upon all who have the love of God in their hearts to arouse to
this great emergency. Never was there a time when so much was at stake as today. Never was
there a period in which greater energy and self-sacrifice were demanded of God's
commandment-keeping people. If there was ever need of economy and self-denial, it is now.
There should be no extravagance in dress, no useless expenditure for self-indulgence or display.
Let our means and our labors be devoted to the cause of God, to save souls for whom Christ

12. Oh that I could speak so as to arouse men and women to realize the importance of the time in
which we live! that now is the time of salvation, that now is the time to work. {RH January 4,

The days of purification of the church are hastening on space. God will have a people pure and
true. In the mighty sifting soon to take place, we shall be better able to measure the strength of
Israel. The signs reveal that the time is near when the Lord will manifest that his fan is in his

Now is the time for earnest wrestling with God. Our voices should join with the Saviour's in that
wonderful prayer: "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Let the
whole earth be filled with his glory. Many may ask, "Who is sufficient for these things?" The
responsibility rests upon every individual. "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think
anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God." The scheme of salvation is not to be
worked out under the laws and rules specified by men. There must be no fixed rules; our work is
a progressive work, and there must be room left for methods to be improved upon. But under the
guidance of the Holy Spirit, unity must and will be preserved.—{The Review and Herald, July

"I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and
the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come.
And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let
him take the water of life freely." "Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of
salvation." Now is the time to receive the word of truth and life and salvation. Now is the time
