Richard started his career as a Section Engineer working up to positions of Project Engineer, Site Manger, Head of Building Trades Branch and Utilities Engineer. Richard moved into design build roles in commercial construction working with contractors and consultants taking on Site Administration, Structural and Resident Engineering roles on projects including Data Centres, Offices and Retail developments. Richard moved into a project management role with SYAHYA Developers in the mid 90s, introducing project handbook procedures for resort centres in Saudi Arabia and then returned to consultancy work with BMP, Yolles, Giffords, Whitby Bird and Pell Frischmann on building structures.
