6. Bluestone Holiday Park
In 2006 development work began on this £110 million leisure village including 268 holiday lodges over a two year period.
Bluestone, at the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in Wales, is a five-star holiday destination comprising
beautiful lodges set on a tranquil hill around a traditional village.
Bluestone wanted a high quality yet cost-effective soft furnishings solution for all lodges, to match their interior design
concept and to provide guest accommodation which would be recognised as being finished to an extremely high standard.
Mitre put forward a range of fabrics and options designed to meet the brief given; fabrics had to match the design concept
for the different lodges, studios and cottages, Mitre was selected as a UK supplier which could provide a range of fabric
options and a design facility capable of delivering a variety of options against the brief given.
Mitre sourced the fabrics and manufactured the products in house at their facility in South Wales, project managing a tight
production schedule to meet the opening date. The products were inspected by Bluestone’s management and approved,
and Mitre’s fitting team installed them in each building to a schedule Bluestone had specified. We are currently working on
the third phase of this project.

7. George Downing
In 2010 property group Downing has began work on a £30 million student village at the site, adjacent to St James’ Park
football. The development featured 519 en-suite student bedrooms, spread across three buildings, rising to 10 storeys
After working with Downing on a previous student accommodation building containing 234 student bedrooms, Mitre were
approached to source fabric that would be both hard wearing and long lasting due to the nature of the environment it was
being used in.
All windows were quoted off plans as the building was not complete to measure up and curtains were produced at our in-
house manufacturing facility in South Wales. Delivery of all 519 pairs of curtains and tracks were made to site on the date
agreed to be fitted by our on site fitting team .

8. Ramada Luton
In 2011 Multibuild won the £6.5 million contract to convert an aircraft training centre into a 124 bedroom hotel, restaurant,
bar, conference rooms and gym suite situated 10 minutes from London Luton airport .
They wanted a scheme that would work in rooms of differing sizes and bedrooms of different configurations. As well as
being able to run the same colour scheme through the rooms. All fabrics must confirm to BS 5867,part 2 type b&c and meet
the specification of the design team
Fabrics were selected by the design team and manufactured at our in house facilities in South Wales, this was a large scale
operation as all 124 rooms had to be delivered on the same day to ensure that our on-site fitting team could complete all
rooms in time for the opening date
Both Multibuild and Ramada were delighted with the final result

9. Celtic Manor
In 2013 Celtic Manor announced the potential development of 60 luxury lodges. The first phase of this £4.3 million project
was 10 lodges that would give the guests a spectacular view of the 2010 Ryder Cup course as well as a home from home
comfort at a 5 star resort.
Mitre have a long standing relationship with the hotel after having recently refurbished their manor house and were asked
to produce an interiors scheme that would be in keeping with the lodges natural surroundings and provide a 5 star finish to
the rooms
Their main challenge was being able to hide the end of the beds without using a bedspread to ensure the bed looked
immaculate when the guests arrived. Mitre presented a number of options including adapting one of our ready made
ranges by adding additional fabric to create a drape over the end of the bed. Room schemes were selected by the Celtic
Manor team and products were produced at our manufacturing facility in South Wales. The project was phased a few
lodges at a time due to bookings so this project required tight management to be sure the lodges were ready on time for
guests arrivals.
Celtic Manor were very happy with finished look and that all lodges were completed in time to house a number of
prestigious guests at the 2014 NATO summit
