Hyundai Eon, the intended competitor of Maruti Alto will be launched in coming month
of October. Its makers are making their level best preparations for it as to repeat the
history. For first it has introduced the hatchback Hyundai Santro which latter come to call
as Hyundai Santro Xing. While launching no one knew that it’ll be a big-hit in advancing
days but it had overturned all of the expectations of criticizers. This time also the same is
been expecting by Eon whose existence is bind with the approach of an immeasurably
long period of waiting time to defeat erstwhile enemy.
2. As the matter of fact, Hyundai Santro launched with the engine specifications of 1.1 liter
petrol power-train that’s good to produce the maximum power and torque of 63 PS and
9.8 kgm. But it’s been a higher capacity in the comparison of Maruti Alto engine
specifications. So, being a candid we can say that competition should be carried all
equally. So, for this time Hyundai’s experts have not left even single concern of an issue
and developed Eon engine with almost equivalent specifications. Not much has been
disclosed by the side of company’s officials but to make the fact of straight
competitiveness clear they have revealed the power of Hyundai Eon engine.

3. It’ll be of 814cc with 3-Cylinder technology and hope to generate the challenging
power and torque of 56 PS at 5,500 rpm and 76.5 NM at 4,000 rpm. Quite
interesting! Even the Eon mileage will also be challenging to Alto mileage that’s of
18.9 km/l. So, it’s expected that Alto will have to face the ARAI certified average
figures of 21.1 km/l.
To lasts the competence between them, Hyundai’s mastermind has decided to fixed
the tags of Hyundai Eon price nearby. Presently, the tags of Alto price are fixed
between Rs. 2, 32,248 to Rs.3, 28,126. So, it’s expected that Eon’s price will also be
hovered around Rs 2.5 lakh. And as we all know that before coming here in India the
cars of Hyundai first get launched in overseas market. So, Hyundai Eon is known as
“Ha” over there and getting favorable responses. Here, in India it has same segment
siblings which are toppers in their performing arena namely Hyundai i10 and
Hyundai i20.
Infact, Hyundai Motors is the India’s second largest auto making company that’s
sales statistics are continuing to progress. And to make its profits more profitable,
company’s decisive heads has been decided to enter into segment of entry-level
small cars whose price tags affix below the figures of Rs. 3 lakh. But the Eon will also
compete against other major runners like Chevrolet Spark, Maruti Swift, Tata Nano,
Tata Indica Vista, etc at marginal extent.
