Google for Nonprofits (formally Google Grants) offers nonprofit organizations free products and advertising. This includes free access to Google Apps as well as free advertising via AdWords and enhanced video tools for YouTube. Nonprofits accepted into the Google for nonprofits program will receive between $10,000 and $40,000 in free advertising each month. Google Apps can help you reduce IT costs and improve communications with free access to Gmail, Calendar and Drive. AdWords can help drive substantial traffic and awareness to your cause while the YouTube nonprofit program gives you enhanced features like call-to-action buttons directly in your videos. Google requires you to meet the following criteria:
• Registered as a federal charity, federal nonprofit or provincial
nonprofit
• Registered with techsoupcanada.ca
• If US-based you must be a 501(c)(3)
Google will reject applications from; gov’t organizations, hospitals,
health care, schools, childcare centers, academic institutions and
universities.
