Este documento describe los verbos de cambio radical en el pretérito. Explica que los verbos de -ir que cambian de raíz en el presente también cambian en el pretérito, llamados "verbos sandalia". Hay tres tipos de cambios: o-ue, e-ie, e-i. Los cambios solo ocurren en las terceras personas. Se proveen ejemplos como "dormir-dormí" y "mentir-mintió".

8. Verbs that change the “i” to “y” in the third-
persons singular and plural
