This presentation was created initially for use by Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish (Cincinnati, Ohio) under the auspices of the IHM Social Action Coordinating Commission's sub-committee on Human Trafficking. The goal of the presentation is to raise awareness about the issue of Human Trafficking and to initiate a dialogue about steps we can take in our faith communities, within our families, and in our city to make a difference. The presentation additionally highlights how the issue is affecting the State of Ohio. For more information on specific action steps you can take, please contact Michelle Beckham-Corbin at 513-445-2180 or Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at 513-388-4466. Thank you for taking the time to view Human Trafficking in the 21st Century.

30. Loving Father,
We seek your divine protection for all who are exploited
and enslaved. For those forced into labor, trafficked into
sexual slavery, and denied freedom.
We beseech you to release them from their chains. Grant
them protection, safety, and empowerment. Restore
their dignity and provide to them a new beginning.
Show us how we might end exploitation by addressing its
causes. Help us reach out in support of victims and
survivors of human trafficking. Make us instruments of
your spirit for their liberation.
For this we pray through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives
and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one
God, forever and ever. Amen. (Author Unknown)
