• A connector is software which streamlines process of translating
content located in a content management system (CMS). It
configures and downloads into CMS like a plug-in

• A connector streamlines translation and decreases errors during
traditional method of CMS translation

5. Proxy
• Proxy is cloud-based solution that “crawls” a website at predetermined
intervals and extracts HTML code for translation and localization
• Crawler picks up new, previously untranslated content and sends to
Lionbridge
• Once code is translated into desired languages, Lionbridge assembles
sites that are mirror images of original site
• Chinese site will look exactly like original English site, except that
all text will be in Chinese
• Lionbridge hosts translated sites for a nominal fee (provide URL and
maintain sites)
• Proxy is best option for companies whose websites are fairly static,
experience frequent content changes, and do not need customization
across languages
