1) Build cottages first to increase build speed, then warehouses for storage, then bring in resources. Focus on one area and demolish cottages as needed. 2) You only need one moon glow tower and trisnic temple to boost baron and resource production respectively, but building multiples connected to barracks greatly increases troop production. 3) Notes next to a city name allow leaving reminders of unfinished work when remodeling a city.

Azuran’s Forum Posts<br />Multiples<br />Ok I'm going to try this again, To build a resource city fast you want to concentrate on building cottages first, then warehouses to store resources, then bring the resources on later even if you have to demolish and move cottages that aren't in the right place. it will save you tons of hours. Do your best to decide where they go then go for it. cottages control build speed of all buildings. Initially if it takes more than 10-15 min to build you need to build more cottages or upgrade. 10-20 cottages. cottages - warehouses to boost storage as needed- then resource development. If it helps put down the resource buildings but wait to develop past level 1 or 2.Military boosts - Do you understand that you only need 1 moonglow tower to purify resources and only one trisnic(sp) temple to build barons BUT multiples connected to barracks greatly increases troop production that are effected by those buildings and all military development building, stable, training grounds etc. So if you want to build barons faster. build more temples. On your main city screen to the left there is a recruitment area. with percentages for all military boosts. for berk you want training ground at 2000%, Paladins -moonglow @ 2000%as examples.<br />City Notes<br />if you find yourself in the middle of a remodel and run out of building slots or time or whatever, you can make a note to remind yourself where you left off.next to the name of the city is a piece of paper icon , when you title it it will show up next to the name of the city in your drop down list click on the paper again for your notes and when complete. just delete info an title and it goes away until you need it again.Title: remodnotes like: iron mine upper right quadrant tearing down resources to make room for foundry<br />Gold Cities<br />Put your cursor arrow over top of your gold supply above and look at the Increase per Hour. If your production of gold isn't AT LEAST 1/2 your score you need to build more gold production. Gold cities when complete can produce about 45k gold per hour. Ask if you need help building.<br />Gold cities advantage as opposed to building gold production as part of a city. Gold cities once complete cannot be taken from you and gold cannot be looted. Disadvantage - they take time to build. once your score is over 50K you should have several building at the same time at different levels of completion. A good measure is at least one out of ten towns ought to be a completed gold city.<br />What Troops Do I Build?<br />FIRST OF ALL ok caps off. first, Offensive troops in anything other than a castle or palace are a waste of time and space. Mages, Berks, Knights, WG's are examples. You can never use them in an offensive role in a non-castled city.Considering building a castle remember that for each castle you NEED one support city of EACH,Ballistae, rangers, guardians, paladins before you start the castle. IF its to be an attack castle then build offensive troopsIf it going to be a palace BUILD DEFENSIVE troops.Your support cities once the castle is built sends those troops to the castle and they STAY THERE. If you want to support other players build more support cities to send to other cities don't use your support cities.<br />Alright I'll correct myself before someone jumps all over me. There is an offensive role for berks, crossbows (like how I snuck that one in) and warlocks. They are RAID troops and make up a whole other category of cities. zerks = Infantrycrossbows = CavWarlocks = Magic and faster travel times than mages, faster travel faster raids.Try to keep Raid cities near where they are going to be most useful, to minimize travel times. IE I think its Infantry= Mountain dungeons so build in the mountains next to a dungeon. Keep it busy and it will stay open for business.<br />What Towers Do I Use?<br />This one is up to you. I am assuming you ARE USING MINISTERS here.But things to keep in mind. You can't siege a non-castled city so no siege weapons can be sent to tear down your walls.In a castle what takes out siege weapons.. Ballistae and paladins/knights.Here is a suggestion, resource cities are for resource production so keep it at that. Build a resource Storage city to empty your resource cities into it (them). on your resource cities surround them with traps and set the resource dump to 100k max. on all resources. with three watch towers somewhere inside or outside ring. if you have defensive troop building in this city build towers on the inside ring for them. and if you have tucked away forest locations do put in a couple hideouts this along with the 100k max will minimize plunder and take you off the radar screen without wasting any troops needing to be there.<br />Build towers to use the troops you are building in that city. you should limit your production per city to troops that use the same troop building boost example paladins and templars use trinsic temple so build templar towers. rangers and berks use training grounds for boost so use ranger towers. etc. But I have been also told that ballistas towers are the only ones that are any good. so... and just so you know, city guards are worthless later in the game and do take precious early game resources to build.The best defense is preventing someone from seeing up your kilt... build scouts and research scout advancements, without a scout, strategies are hard to be formed as to best attack method.<br />Yes, like Azuran said, it's all about what type of units/troops that you have in your city. There are 2 different types of towers - those that can be placed on the outer wall only, and those that can be placed on the inner and outer walls. Those that can be placed only on the outer walls are Pitfall (infantry) Traps, Barricades (cavalry traps), Arcane (magic) Traps and Camouflage (artillery) Traps. These towers neutralise a limited number of enemy troops attacking your city. A maximum of 50% of enemy troops can be neutralised. E.g. If mages were attacking your city and you had three lvl 10 arcane traps, 3000 mages would be neutralized by these particular traps. Other traps would be useless as they can’t neutralise magic units (such as mages). If there were less than 6000 mages attacking, only 50% of those mages could be neutralised. Lookout Towers, Ranger Towers, Guardian Towers, Templar Towers and Ballista Towers can be placed on either wall and increases the defensive value by 100% of a limited number of troops of a particular type which matches the tower type. Every city must also have at least 1 Lookout Tower to check for incoming attacks long before they arrive, water cities should have two. Lookout Towers also provide a defensive bonus to scouts.This means that you could choose to have a city full with towers that provide defensive bonuses to your troops, i.e. the towers that can be placed on either wall, or a city with a combination of both different types of towers (with neutralising towers on the outer wall, and defensive towers on the inner wall). It’s up to you :-)Also as Azuran has made clear, you should only have one type of troop production building in your city to maximise unit production and the potential of your army in that city. e.g. If you only build Training Grounds you can recruit Zerks (berserkers), Guardians and/or Rangers. This makes it more effective when building towers so that you only have to build Guardian and Ranger Towers.<br />Gold Transfer<br />theoretically gold transfer should be real easy The person that needs gold would need a market and list 1000 of any resource for the price they are looking for in gold. As long as the donor is within 24 hrs the sale should instantaneously transfer the gold to the other playerI don't now if there is an upper limit for resource price/ increase the amount of resources for sale.<br />To receive gold from somebody you must make an offer on the market. Click on Trade > Own Offers > Create a new offer, as Azuran described. To give gold to somebody you must accept the offer. Click on Trade > Other Offers > Select 24h max transport time > Find offers. Gold transfer is easy! :)<br />
