10. The personal or home use BPM became popular in the consumer market and electronic
retailers on late 1990’s and 2000’s. They were developed by different manufacturers with a
variety of quality and designs. They were trying to enhance the accuracy, slimming the size of
machines with additional features such as more number of memories to save the measuring
values, time & date to register the measuring time, average of readings, etc.
Since the product’s concept was new and was not much distributed or available in the market,
the people awareness was less, the customer was searching only for the product which can
help their demand, regardless of brand. But now in matured and advance markets, the
customers became choosy and sensitive about famous brands to select, reliable brand that
have trustable quality and after sales service.
CITIZEN, as one of the highly reputable and reliable brands in the world, is strongly accepted
by customers and end-users, so there is a big opportunity to utilize the advantage of brand
awareness and quality to capture a good market share among the other brands.

11. In the current global market, there are several categories of products in terms of quality,
design, brand reliability, after sale service, product life time, accuracy, etc.
CITIZEN is fitting in the premium category of available brands such as Omron, Microlife and
other brands with their R&D and design. Also it has many good advantages in that pool in
terms of very famous brand name, competitive prices and user-friendly models for easy
operation.
CITIZEN cannot be compared with lower category brands which only became popular by
cheap prices or damping offers, mostly by Chinese, Taiwanese or Korean unknown brands or
OEM made brands i. e. Beurer who doesn’t have its own engineering and design, they only
order in bulk to OEM manufacturers and selling under their brand name.
Always product comparison can be fair when it is compared with its similar level rivals, and
market acceptance results will be shown in long term

market. In every market, there are two types of customers, talented and potential.
Potential customers are the ones who need, suggested or ordered to buy a BPM, so they
will go to the market, search for products and compare them or take others suggestion to
choose a brand.
Talented customers are the majority of people in the country who may or may not know
about BPM and its benefits but don’t feel necessarily to have one at home or for the
family.
By introductory activities, training and giving awareness messages we can take the
attention and encourage people to have a BPM and start controlling their BP to improve
their health level and prevent risk of hypertension or hypotension. In other words, we
should create demand in mind of consumers or people. When the number of customers
increase in the market, then the demand will increase too, so the market share will have
a bigger size as well.

people about health, blood pressure, why to control it, everybody needs to control,
etc. The patients suffering from diabetes, kidney failures, stressed people, etc
need to control constantly their BP. At the same time it is needed to increase the
awareness of people that digital BPM is easy to use, portable, affordable, self
operated, easily available, and people can control their BP, keep the result and
consult with their doctors. CITIZEN offers accurate, reliable devices with affordable

23. After closing the cuff around the arm or wrist, by pushing the start button, the
cuff inflates automatically. This inflates close off blood flow in the vessels under
the cuff.
The cuff deflated by each heart pulse due to the pressure which vessels cause
to the cuff by each heart beat and blood flow.
Heart sound and pressure exerted by the brachial arteries onto the cuff is being
measured by the device and shown on the screen.
This type of blood pressure monitoring is so accurate, manual measurement
can be not as accurate as the automatic ones due to human precision errors.
The measuring conditions is very important to get the correct result.

When the battery is low the cuff inflation and measurement might not be accurate;
so if you are facing an irregular measurement change the battery and try it again.

Appearing Err1 or Err2 on the screen means the cuff cannot find the heartbeat, it
might be because of not closing the cuff in an appropriate way. You need to train
you customer how to use the cuff.

If the error EP or Err shows on the screen or the device doesn’t turn
on then there is a circuit problem which has to be checked by a
technician.

26. This is an usual problem which occur to the blood pressure monitors due to long
time usage is cuff or tube. It might happen because of a small puncture in the cuff
or tube which cause air leakage or sometimes dust or temperature change may
affect the air passage from the air motor to the tube or from the exhaust out of
the device. If this air passage happens so fast or too slow the measurement
cannot be done in the proper way. 90% of the technical problems are happening
due to this issue.
