2. When I hear the word dashboard, I think of getting pertinent information
about my vacation.
• Number of days
• Expenditure
• Itinerary
• Accommodation
Similarly, an effective business intelligence dashboard should tell me key
things
• My business in a flash
• At least BI dashboard should get attention – good or bad

5. Overload BI Dashboard?
• Overpower with too many information.
• Provide detailed data.
• Provide irrelevant or inaccurate information.
• Use 3 dimensional charts –interpretation is difficult.
• Have complex representation without a flow.
• Have more graphical version for historical data.
• Overlook the data security issues.
6. Create simple tables and charts – spark
lines, bullet lists.

7. Final state on Dashboard
As well as you plan and design these things up front, nothing should be
set in stone until the users see the end product of your work.
Ultimately, dashboards are the surface of all of a company's BI data.
End users should get what they need to make better business decisions.
Should be a ongoing process for growth of the company.
