Free Choice Project from DCF (Design and Communications Fundamentals) Roughwork for making Crochet hats and belts.

2. Hat 1 The blue hat is made out of acrylic string. Using only half-double crochet, stripes were added to make the hat interesting

3. Hat 2 Like the blue hat, this light purple hat is made with half-double crochet stitching

4. Hat 3 The darker purple hat was made with hole in it, because it is a "spring" hat. The design allows the air through the material. Also the hat has a flower sewn to side for decoration.

5. Hat 4 The cream coloured hat is made with a thicker material, which makes the hat warmer. It has a rim around the hat to make it different for the rest of the hats.

6. Belt 1 The cream coloured belt was inspired from a scarf design. The pattern was altered to fit around a waist, so the design was cut in half to add the strings for tying. The belt is made with different crochet techniques like double and single crochet

7. Belt 2 The second belt is three "chains" tied on a ring, when you pull the strings through the hoop. This belt could be matched with either purple hat. The belt also has a flower attached to the hoop for decoration (it also a great place to hide the label).

9. Placement of the label The label has the logo on it. This label is placed on the product somewhere by stitching the material on the product. The hats all have the logo placed on the inside of the hat. The belts have it either on the back of the belt or behind the flower.
