Un libro per bambini circa il perdono - A Little Children's Book about Forgiveness
1.
2. The power to forgive
is one of the greatest
powers given to man.
It's part of the nature
and essence of God,
and when you
exercise it you
assume godlike
stature.
Il potere di
perdonare è uno dei
maggiori poteri dati
all’uomo. Fa parte
della natura e
dell’essenza divina e
quando lo esercitate
vi elevate ad una
statura divina.
3. Whether that person who wronged
you deserves forgiveness or not is
not the central issue. The central
issue is you doing the right thing.
La questione principale non è il fatto
che la persona che ti ha fatto il torto
meriti il perdono o no. La questione
è che tu faccia la cosa giusta.
4. Forgiveness is greater than justice.
Justice is human; forgiveness is
divine.
Il perdono è più grande della
giustizia. La giustizia è umana: il
perdono è divino.
5. The weak can never forgive.
Forgiveness is the attribute of the
strong.
I deboli non riescono a perdonare.
Il perdono è una qualità dei forti.
6. Without forgiveness,
life is governed by an
endless cycle of
resentment and
retaliation.
Senza perdono, la
vita è governata
da un ciclo incessante
di risentimenti
e rappresaglie.
7. He that cannot forgive others breaks
the bridge over which he must pass
himself; for every man has need to be
forgiven.
Chi non sa perdonare gli altri
distrugge il ponte su cui dovrà
passare lui stesso; perché ogni uomo
ha bisogno di perdono.
8. The path of forgiveness seems
difficult and bumpy at first, but the
longer we travel it, the smoother it
gets.
All’inizio la via del perdono
sembra difficile e accidentata, ma
più la percorri più diventa
scorrevole.
9. Forgiveness does not change the
past, but it does enlarge the future.
Il perdono non cambia il passato,
ma migliora il futuro.
