What was your original idea and how did you execute this idea?
Our original idea was for there to be 2 Essex girls. Annette walks into the café to meet
Francesca, Annette leans across the table to talk to Francesca – her hands placed on the
table – she then sits down. They continue their conversation – Francesca continuously
fiddles with her gold bracelet when the conversation is over Annette storms out leaving
Francesca sitting in the café alone.
Our group was split up successfully as we all had a part. Tyra was in charge of the camera
and was doing the recording. Chontae was the director and the extra in the clip. Annette
and I were the actresses, and I also did the editing using ‘Final-Cut’. If we were to work
together again, I would change it by making Chontae use another camera as well.

Production Paperwork - how was it useful?
The production paperwork was useful to us as we were able to have a guide on what we
need to do. It also prepared us for the text and made us fully aware about the steps we
need to take in order to complete the task.
The different pieces of production work benefited to us all. The breakdown of shots would
have been most helpful for Tyra, as she was the one recording and she would have needed
that to give her a guide on how she is going to record. It is also helpful for me, as I know
what actions to do whilst acting. The production call sheet helped us all as it was a more
detailed description of what is going to happen in the scene. The treatment gave more
information on where it was set and more in depth detail on the whole production. The
storyboard allowed us to view the story visually and gave us an idea of how we are meant to
act. The storyboard needed more work on, as it was not very clear what was happening, and
there needed to be more shots shown.

Your Idea - did it evolve in anyway?
As a group we were all responsible for deciding on the final idea and seeing how it would
work out. We used our pre production work to guide and help us through our production.
We had to change some of our ideas as it weren’t working at the time of the recording.

How did you find your technical skills on the production?
Before we started to film anything, we clearly planned out how the production is going to
work, and where the camera is going to be. Tyra was responsible for recording and
therefore had to be in different positions to be able to do the 180 degree rule, match on
action and shot reverse shot, effectively. When we edited our film, we realized we made
some mistakes as the clip jumped straight to another and it did not look good. If we could
do it again, I would change many things such as; using another camera to capture other
angles at the same time. I would also repeat the filming many times so that we have more
clips to work on.
