1. There are many Ethiopians who seem to believe in that Ethiopia has 13 months. How do
they think about? They seem to think that Pagume is equivalent to each months name.
But they did not take in to account the statistical set theory when they conceptualize these
12 months. This means that two or more subsets are said to be equivalent if and only if
each subset has the same number of elements.
Therefore, the question that the 13 months believer must answer is that how would
Pagume which has only five /six days is equivalent each month that has 30 days
(Maskarem, Tikimt, Hidar ,…, Nehasie?
Therefore, they have to know the truth that Ethiopia has the tropical Calendar. Ethiopia’s calendar
alike the Gregorian calendar has 12 months: 11 months, each has 30 days (Maskarem to Hamle)
and one special month has 35/36 days (Nehasie and Pagume). So the essential point here is that
we Ethiopians have to work to share and know the people of the tropical zones to use the
Ethiopian months.
