The document discusses how the future of TV is changing and will continue to evolve. It predicts that people will watch more content online through streaming and on-demand services rather than traditional TV schedules. Viewers will have more control over what and when they watch. TVs are also predicted to become more like computers that are thinner and portable like an iPad, with interactive 3D content and role-playing capabilities. Entertainment rooms of the future may have multiple screens and technology instead of separate TV rooms.

I think that the evolution of the TV contains a lot of changes. And that we no
longer will use the television in the same way that we have been doing for the
last decades. Of course we will continue to watch programs and movies for our
entertainments sake. But I believe that the way we use and interact with the TV
is going to be different. There are already a lot of changes going on today and the
network and cable companies are trying to follow the new trends.
I donβt have a TV-set and I havenβt had one for a couple of years. I use my
computer to watch series and films. Nowadays you can enter websites that allow
you to watch nearly everything online. This means that instead of having to wait
for a certain day for instance, Wednesday at 18 pm you can watch your favourite
show whenever you want. Streaming online gives the viewer more power. It also
has other advantages, people can rate and comment on programs or movies.
They can discuss different matters and interact with each other.
In Sweden al the big channels have something called play. It allows viewers to
watch the networks programs via Internet. The different channels encourage
viewers to visit their website. You can chat with a contestant from a reality show,
follow their blogg or watch and old episode of a series. The website gives the TV
more dimensions and allows people to be interactive and communicative. I think
that the viewer will have more power over what programs they want to see and
when they want to see them. I also think that in the future the TV will
function like a computer and that we will watch everything online.
I imagine that in the distant future the TV-room will disappear. Instead people
will have entertainment rooms with screens and different technological
equipment like simulators. There is a 3D trend today and maybe that is
something that will be common in the future, all movies and series will use this
effect. There could be role-playing were you get to play one of the characters in a
show. Or you get to decide how a movie ends. With al these effects the
experience of watching TV will become more interactive.
I hope that the format will change also. If you think about it a TV is quite ugly and
takes up a lot of space. With time maybe they will get thinner and lighter and

somehow you can fold them together. I imagine them looking something like an
ipad and everyone having on of their own.
