2. Dr. William B. Clark is the owner of the ENT
Associates of Northwest Florida, where he
specializes in the treatment of the ear, nose, and
throat and specifically in head and neck surgery.
In his free time, he enjoys staying active by
paddleboarding and cycling.
3. Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is a relatively
new aquatic sport that can be practiced on any
body of water. SUP requires the paddleboarder to
stand on a board and use a paddle to move
across the water. As a work-out, it offers benefits
to all muscles in the body and has become a
popular cross-training activity for snowboarders
and skiers.
4. Before attempting to paddleboard, you will need
to get the right gear. First of all, you will want to
get a paddleboard that fits your body’s weight and
your level of fitness. Newer paddlers should
choose wider, flatter boards. You’ll also need a
paddle, which should be six to eight inches taller
than you. Finally, you should get a personal
flotation device and, if you will be paddling in
colder conditions, consider investing in a wet suit.
