This interactive seminar examines how people typically resist change and why most planned
change initiatives fail. More importantly, participants learn specific tools and techniques they
can use to overcome these detrimental odds. Through experiential activities, participants
learn seven universal principles of change management and apply a systematic process they
can follow to drive change in their own organizations without running others over.
Participants leave with the first draft of a customized action plan that includes a specific
change they must implement, a tool to gauge anticipated resistance, a method to identify
potential advocates, a technique to execute actionable goals, and a compelling way to track
progress.
By the end of this seminar, participants should be able to:
Describe why most change initiatives fail
Recognize common causes of resistance, as well as techniques for overcoming it
List and explain the stages of on an effective change initiative
Develop a customized action plan for driving change in their organization
