1. PRODUCTION DESIGN
Location: South-end-on-Sea, Mansion Club
Set design Due to the choice of song, we thought that a club themed music video
would fit in well therefore chose to film at South-end-on-Sea, Mansion
club. We used the dance floor and decks compartment in the middle of
the club.
Props Pioneer Decks, glasses, moustache, buck teeth, wig, golden plated finger
ring, and mop.
Special fx No special sound effects used, however the transitions of each shot are
made to cut to another scene constantly with a fast pace; which
enhanced the music video in sync with the chosen song ‘move it 2 the
drum – Chuckie Harwell – Hatrias Remix).
Lighting In the Dream sequence, we use a variety of lighting to get into the
atmosphere in being in a night club. Therefore, we decided to have a dark
background with the use of colourful disco lights (red, blue, green), and
strobe lights flashing constantly. However, when showing the reality
situation we use natural standard lighting.
Use of colour The types of colour used are mainly shown to be natural when the main
character starts off by mopping. Gradually when transitioning into the
dream sequence, we use a dark atmosphere followed by vibrant coloured
lights which enhance the fact that he is in a night club as a DJ using a
majority of vibrant lights.
