The document describes using Excel to generate random samples from two populations for analysis. For the first population of brokers, 10 random brokers were selected out of a total population. For the second population of cell phones, 25 random phones were selected out of a total of 300. The random samples would then be analyzed to determine which brokers and phones required further investigation or quality control testing.

1. Lab2 – Exercise 1<br />By using Excel I would first create my appropriate fields, headings, etc… Then, I would use the data analysis tool underneath the data tab to generate 10 random samples of the population of brokers at the financial institution.
