 Management Information system(MIS) broadly refers to a
computer based system that provides manager with the
tools for organizing, evaluating and efficiently running
their department.
 In order to provide past, present and prediction
information ,a MIS can include software that helps in
decision making, data resources such as databases, the
hardware resources of a system, decision support system.

3. Computer reservation system
4. Collaborative filtering/Automatic prediction
 MIS helps the decision support system for
sustainable tourism.
 Environmental and other socio-economic data
can be incorporated and to develop a capacity
for calculating the environmental and
socioeconomic impacts of tourism development
 MIS would allow for developing scenarios on the
socio-economic and environmental impacts of
planning for tourism facilities at determined
locations.

• Provide overall organization wide information
• It ensure updated and strategically important
information in the form of data and reports
2. DECISION MAKING PROCESS
The output of MIS is available in the forms of reports which
can be used extensively in the decision making in the
business
