 Captured an image of a student into a camera
 Cut out the image using the quick selection
tool
 Use as a feature article photograph
 Capture the background image into a camera
 Enlarged it onto my background, for a mise-
en-scene
 Cut logo out that I found on the internet,
using a (background) eraser tool
 Add a masthead
 Added a cover line
 Added a puff

 I set the foreground colour, from a section on the front
cover, using the pipet and used the paint bucket tool to
colour the background in with the colour chosen.
 I dragged the logo across from the front cover.
 I added a running head along the title the contents page
(using the pipet to get a different colour from the front
cover)
 I added the list of contents (using the pipet again)
 I found an image of Mr. McGowan and cut around him
using the magic wand tool
 I enlarge the image to fit accurately

Demographic = My
unisex magazine targets
students, as they can
relate, and parents, due to
the information included.
Tone = the overall
impression is success and
joy, as the results were
good
Denotation (front
cover) = a smiling
student is holding her
results up in a textiles
department
Connotation =
the student is
really happy
with her results.
And she done
particularly well
in her textiles
exam Denotation (contents
page) = the head teacher
of the school is smiling
and wearing the colours
of the school.
Connotation = the head
teacher is happy with the
grades and is proud to be a
part of the William de
Ferrer's school.
Typography= the font of
the magazine is clear, and
has continued throughout
the magazine
Style = the
colours of the
text changes throughout the
magazine. This shows the
importance of the text’s, and
stands it out from the
background.

Make the background to the
contents page more exciting,
so that it is more personal
and interesting.
Contrast the text’s colours
with the background, so
that it stands out more.
Cut the logo out in
more detail, so that
it looks neater.
Make the font more exciting,
so that that overall magazine
is more eye-catching.
Make the contents page have
more bright and bold
colours, so that when the
reader looks at it, they won’t
put it back down.
