The
Maintenance
Skyscape® Tray and the drainage holes in the
troughs and on the ridges are mathematically
designed to detain and meter the stormwater. Ease of Installation: Goof Proof
Assembled AVRS® trays with fitted irrigation lines
The Skyscape Multi-layer: Retention Mat
9. The drainage holes in the troughs
and on the ridges are engineered
to detain and meter the
stormwater.
Given an instantaneous 1”
rainstorm the SkyScape tray would
meter and slow down the rainfall
by 3.5 minutes.
A SkyScape tray filled with growing
media and plants would retain
70% of this stormwater.
A SkyScape tray with media and
plants will filter and remediate the
stormwater before runoff.
10. The SkyScape trays overlap and pin
together creating a fully
encapsulated roof area
5% angle on all sides allows trays to
freely articulate over crickets and
down through depressions with out
separating.
Engineered Stormwater
Management
A SkyScape tray with media and
plants will filter and remediate the
stormwater before runoff.
11. Engineered overlapping
and interlocking trays
insure proper registration
so that tray area remains
square.
Integral drip irrigation
system; affixed to tray with
hook system.
14. Trays: lay trays on membrane and lock Multi-layer: roll out layers: drainage,
together. filter then retention layer

16. Hybrid System – install in areas the tray won’t
fit or weight issues
17. Specifically designed to fit tray
Pinned to make a lasting
connection
Hides tray edges from exposure
and allows tray to be over filled.
Comes in both Aluminum and
Stainless Steel.

25. Portland State Research has shown that…
Due to the cooling effect of the Eco-Roof
the Solar Modules work at higher
efficiencies. Studies show 1-3% better
efficiencies.
Editor's Notes
Columbia Green Technologies
Increased impervious surfaces lead to higher peak flows and reduce infiltration. The result is increased flood frequency, accelerated bank erosion, habitat degradation, reduced interflow and reduced groundwater recharge. Research by Center for Watershed Protection shows as little as 10% impervious cover on a watershed will degrade the water ways. Typically regulatory agencies will not allow the peak flow from a developed site to exceed that peak flows from the site prior to the development. In some cases the peak must be less to start compensating for prior development which does not reduce the peak flows.
There are many methods to manage storm water Bio swales, retention center, etc In a city the eco roof is the easiest and most affordable for a building owner. It doesn’t take up parking lots space or city side walks. Rooftops are empty Columbia Green Technologies
