3. About Chris Bruno
Chris Bruno, who sold Chris’s American
Restaurant several years ago, earned an
associate degree in culinary arts from Johnson
& Wales University in Providence, Rhode
Island. After graduating, Mr. Bruno trained with
a number of European chefs and cooks. A
skilled culinary artist, Chris Bruno once worked
at the Restaurant L'europe in Vista, New York.
He also a term as a board member of the
Connecticut Restaurant Association.

Years later, Mr. Bruno would describe his
Chris’s American Restaurant menu as being
focused on traditional American cuisine.
Customer favorites at the establishment
include the baby clams served with sake and
wasabi, the crusted sweet potato black bean
cake, and the duck liver pate.
