1. NATURALIZATION PROCESS:
1. Born in the United States: Anyone who is born in the United States or on a United States Military Base
is automatically granted citizenship because it is US Territory.

How to become naturalized:
1. Get the Application for Naturalization N-400 and fill it out completely.
2. Submit 2 passport sized photos, the photos need to be taken within the last 6 months so it can be

3. Submit documents required such as a copy of a green-card. Do not send the original.
4. Send application, fees and documents with a fee of $390 for application and fingerprinting; It has to
be in the form of a check or money order.
5. Once the application is filed, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services will tell you about
when and where to get your fingerprinting done. On the given date, take the appointment letter and
some form of identification with you.
6. After you have been fingerprinted, you will be informed about the date, time and place of your
interview by mail.
