  2. 4. <ul><li>Jesus made a very confusing claim once </li></ul><ul><li>“ I AM” Was the name Jehovah, the name of God </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Jesus had just claimed HE was God </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>But we know God spoke to Jesus </li></ul></ul><ul><li>The Nature of God is a Paradox </li></ul><ul><ul><li>God is ONE </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>God is Three Persons: </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>The Father </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>The Son </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>The Holy Spirit </li></ul></ul></ul>John 8:57-59 Then the Jews said to Him, &quot;You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?“ Jesus said to them, &quot;Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” Then they took up stones to throw at Him John 12:28 &quot;Father, glorify Your name.&quot; Then a voice came from heaven, saying, &quot;I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.&quot;
  3. 5. <ul><li>God used a special name for Himself (the most common name in the Bible) </li></ul><ul><li>ELOHIM Created all things; </li></ul><ul><ul><li>God the Father created all things </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>God the Son created all things </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>God the Holy Spirit created all things </li></ul></ul><ul><li>THEREFORE: Elohim is the name of God in Three persons </li></ul>Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, &quot;Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness...... So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them&quot; Genesis 1:1 &quot;In the beginning God <'elohiym> created the heaven and the earth&quot; Isaiah 44:24 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: &quot;I am the LORD, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself; John 1:3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Hebrews 1:2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds Psalm 104:30 You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the earth.

Matt 28:20 “…..and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” 1Timothy 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible…..

Psalm 104:30 You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; Psalm 139:7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? Hebrews 9:14 (Christ) through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God,
  7. 9. <ul><li>Throughout scripture it is testified that God is three persons </li></ul><ul><ul><li>God the Father is called God </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>God the Son is called God </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>God the Holy Spirit is called God </li></ul></ul><ul><li>The Bible does not have the word Trinity, but instead uses the expression “GodHead” </li></ul>Mark 12:29 Jesus answered him, &quot;The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.&quot; John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, &quot;My Lord and my God!&quot; John 4:24 &quot;God is Spirit&quot; 1 Cor. 3:16 &quot;you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you“ I Cor. 6:19 &quot;Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit&quot; Acts 17:29 “….. we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.&quot;; Romans 1:20 &quot;For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead , so that they are without excuse&quot;; Col 2:9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily
  8. 10. <ul><li>The Three-fold nature of God is revealed: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>By the Creative Power of Elohim </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>By the Divine Nature and Quality of God </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>By the Divine Revelation of God </li></ul></ul>
  9. 11. <ul><li>A Father who has authorized Salvation </li></ul><ul><li>A Son who has worked Salvation </li></ul><ul><li>A Holy Spirit who has revealed Salvation </li></ul>John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 1 Tim. 2:5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 1 Cor. 2:10 But God has revealed ( that which he has prepared ) to us through His Spirit
  10. 12. <ul><li>The Spirit reveals God’s will – do you believe? </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Romans 10:17 </li></ul></ul><ul><li>The Son commands obedience – will you obey? </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Repentance: Acts 2:38 </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Confession: Romans 10:9 </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Baptism: Mark 16:16 </li></ul></ul><ul><li>The Father desires your salvation – will you come? </li></ul><ul><ul><li>1Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth </li></ul></ul>
