6. Sharing and Groups Any way you want it. VoiceThreads security comes in many forms, from private to public, and anywhere in between. Simple security settings allow creators to choose what the VoiceThread viewers can do. You can change these settings as often as you like. You can also easily create Groups of your friends, colleagues, or those you have common interests with, and have the Group's VoiceThreads shared and shown in one place (on your MyVoice page).
7. Browse Tab Browse or search through the thousands of publically available VoiceThreads. If you have registered you can comment on the VoiceThreads.

13. You can upload photos from your computer, other media sources (like Flickr or Facebook), or a specific URL. In this example, I will add a photo from my computer. Click on My Computer and then select the photo to add.
14. Click here to add a title and description. Then click on Comment.

16. In this example, click on type to use the keyboard to make a comment.
17. Start typing in the text box by your avatar. When you are finished writing, click save.
19. You can click on My Contacts and Add which will allow you to put in the email address of friends/students and invite them to comment on the VoiceThread. With a free account you cannot use the Groups feature. Fill in the information and click add.
20. First, determine the publishing options for your VoiceThread by clicking on the gear next to Publishing Options. In this example I have chosen to allow anyone to view and allow anyone to comment. Then click save.
21. You can also specify Playback Options. In this example, I have chosen to wait 4 seconds before turning the page, start playing when opened, allow others to download original images and documents, and allow others to Export. Then click save.
22. To share your VoiceThread, you can get a Link or the Embed code. Click here to Get a Link. Click here to Embed. Copy the embed code and click done.
23. To make a recording using your computer microphone click on the record tab.
25. Start talking, voice thread is recording your voice! Click stop recording when you have finished. (You will have the option of saving the recording or discarding.)
