Ami Nahshon is principal consultant and managing director for
Ami Nahshon Strategic Consulting, offering a portfolio of customized
services to help nonprofits, their senior executives and board leaders
optimize organizational effectiveness, strategy and resource
development.
In 2014, he completed twelve years as international president of The
Abraham Fund Initiatives where he dramatically expanded the
organization’s impact and financial resources to become Israel’s leading
advocate for an equal and inclusive society for Jews and Arabs alike.
Ami previously led the Jewish Community Federation and Foundation of California’s
San Francisco East Bay, doubling the organization’s financial capacity and creating
innovative approaches to donor-centered philanthropy, community activism and Israel
engagement. He earlier served as program director of the Center for Human Services
in Cleveland, Ohio where he built groundbreaking new models for serving the needs
of the chronically mentally ill and the unemployed.
Ami is a founding member of Foundations for Peace, an international network of
NGOs working in divided societies around the globe, and of The Alliance for Middle
East Peace, a Washington-based NGO coalition advocating for US government
support for shared society programs in Israel and the region. He was named 2006
International Non-Profit Executive of the Year by the Executive Council of New
York.
Michael Ostroff, CFRE is a New York and Florida-based Certified
Fund Raising Executive working with domestic, Israeli and
international non-profit organizations to help them achieve their
philanthropic goals.
He has an extensive track record of success serving a broad range of
clients in the cultural, educational, health care, human service and
Jewish communal fields, providing comprehensive financial resource
development and marketing services, and planning and implementing
annual, capital, endowment, grant/foundation and planned giving campaigns.
Michael’s professional fundraising career spans 35 years and he has played leadership
roles in campaigns that have collectively raised in excess of $1 billion. With a keen
understanding of volunteer and donor motivation, Michael specializes in major gift
solicitation, campaign and volunteer/board training.
