3. 3. Conception Selection<br />22/09/2011<br />2<br /> A simple U-Shape hull line is selected.<br />Considering the arrangement of engine, fuel tank, personnel and steering, a length of 3-5m, width between 1-2m is roughly selected.<br />

General Arrangement Design<br />22/09/2011<br />2<br />Based on the rough calculation through MAXSURF, the crew seats are placed behind the midship in the stern direction.<br />Luggage place is placed behind the seats<br />Behind the luggage place, the fuel tank is arranged<br />The engine is put aft the ship.<br />Other small items are placed fore ship to balance the weight<br />

Material Selection and Weight Estimation<br />22/09/2011<br />2<br />To reduce the hull weight, composite material FRP is selected. <br />Assume plate thickness is 9 mm, the hull weight is roughly 71kg.<br />Considering the personnel, fuel, luggage weight and check the rough calculated displacement, there is a balance.<br />

Stability Evaluation<br />22/09/2011<br />2<br />Since there is a balance between displacement and weight and majority weights are located at lower place, there should not be a big problem for the stability.<br />However, the dynamic stability should be paid attention to if the boat is going planing.<br />
