    time to introduce:



         The Midpoint Formula
   For example, when you have 2
    endpoints: [ A(-1, 2) and B(3, -6)], x1 and
    x2 would replace -1 and 3 respectively;
    y1 and y2 would then replace 2 and -6.

   Solve each side separately (easier).

   For the ‘x’ side:

 (-1) + 3 = 2
 2/2 = 1
   Then, for the ‘y’ side:

 2 + (-6) = -4
 (-4)/2 = -2
   The answer for the midpoint would be:
   Midpoint (1, -2)

 That’s the conventional method to find the
  midpoint.
 But as long as you remember that you're
  averaging the two points' x- and y-values,
  you will do fine. It won't matter which point
  you pick to be the ‘first’ point you start with.
