4. “They are here” she says. “I can feel them
growing under my cheeks”.
5. Lola would like to say her sweet words to
daddy. But it’s too late, daddy is leaving.
6. Lola would like to say her sweet words to
mummy, but mom is in a hurry.
7. “Mom, I’d like to tell you...” Lola Mumbles.
“Later sweetie”, answers mom quickly,
“you’ll be late for school”.
8. On the bus there’s too much noise for
sweet words.
9. On the school playground Lola approaches
the teacher.But the teacher has already a
little one up on her arms.
10. She doesn’t think too much of her desk
mate. He won’t have her sweet words.
11. At lunch time in the dinning room everybody’s
chewing. Lola says nothing.
“Sweet words”, she thinks,”are not for
chewing”.
12. It’s break time. Everybody’s playing in a ring.
Lola couldn’t utter a single word,
not even a sweet word.
13. Going out of school, there’s Frankie, the king of the
skateboard. He’s rolling down the street.
Lola’s in love with him. It is to him that she wants
to offer her sweet words the sweetest.
14. How rude! He passes through right in front of
her nose without stopping, without saying
anything, without waiting for her sweet words.
15. On the bus there’s still too much noise. However
Lola, now, frowns.
16. At home, while she goes to and fro the living room
Lola frowns.
21. Lola is completely decided: “I won’t say a
word it’s not worth it. I won’t say my sweet
words”.
22. But her cheeks grow and grow and
all of a sudden Lola cries...
23. “Mom, dad , I love you! I love you! I love you!”
24. Lola has finally managed to say her sweet words.
As sweet words are gone they really work.
Immediately, everything turns in cuddles and kisses for
Lola...
25. But as she’s climbing up the stairs to her bedroom she
feels a little bit worried:
What if tomorrow the sweet words don’t come back?
26. As soon as Lola turns the light off, she calms down,
tomorrow’s sweet words are already in her bedroom
