๏ผ Bi-Orientation Polyethylene Terephthalate (BO-PET).
๏ผ PET is the poly condensation polymer made by esterification process reaction
with organic acid and alcohol.
๏ผ It is the polymer film which is made by the stretching and heating in the
vertically and horizontally direction.
4. CORONA TREATMENT
๏ผ Corona is the phenomena which is related with high voltage transmission.
๏ผ The Alternating current is made to flow across the conductor of transmission
line whose space is large compared to have diameter so air surrounding the
conductor is subjected to dielectric stress.
5. HOW OZONE GAS IS PRODUCE
๏ผ Due to high electrical discharge around conductor these electrons given the
violet glow color along with hissing noise and also ozone gas is produced.
7. METHODS OF OZONE GAS CONTROLLING
1. Source Control:
๏ผ Eliminate or control the ozone air pollution at the source.
๏ผ This involves minimizing the use of products and materials that cause indoor pollution.
2. Air Cleaning:
๏ผ It remove pollutants through proven air cleaning methods.
3. Outdoor Air Ventilation:
๏ผ Dilute and exhausted air pollutants can through outdoor air ventilation on diffuse source
(disperse point).
8. SELECTED METHOD RESULTS
๏ผ The best technique we found that the outdoor air ventilation system at (NOVATEX
BOPET UNIT PLANT) for this purpose we mounted the high efficient air blower at
the point source of air pollutant.
๏ผ When ozone gas is produced during the corona treatment, air ventilation give very
good results (0.01 to 0.03 PPM) and it taken ozone gas from the point source and
discharge at the optimum level in the open atmosphere where it diffused and no effect
can occurred.
9. CONCLUSION
Selected this method on the basis of the following reasons:

๏ผ Good controlling of air pollution in less time
๏ผ Ease to handling
๏ผ Maintenance timely and easily
๏ผ Easily availability of equipment
๏ผ Less space required for mounting
๏ผ No man power requirement for operation
๏ผ Full filling the regularity standards:
๏ FDA (Food & Drug Administration ) Not more than o.o5 PPM.
๏ OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) 0.10 for 8 hr.
๏ NAAQS (National Ambient Air Quality Standards) 0.08 for 8 hr.
๏ SEQS (Sindh Environmental Quality Standards) 0.1 PPM
๏ EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) Not more than 70 PPB
