2. Azucena Villaflor de Vicenti:
Azucena Villaflor de
Vicenti was born in
Avellaneda, Buenos Aires
(disappeared December 10,
1977). She was a social
activist in Argentina, one of
the founders of the
Association of the Mothers of
Plaza de Mayo, dedicated
to search missing during the
state terrorism in Argentina.
On April 30, 1977 she and
thirteen other mothers
marched in the Plaza de
Mayo in downtown Buenos
Aires, facing the seat of
government, the Pink House.
3. Was born in Buenos Aires,
November 22, 1859. She was the first
medical Argentina.
In Buenos Aires she entered the
Normal School No. 1
In the same period, very shocked
by her illness her best friend Amelia
Kenig, determined that his life was a
profound change and decided on
medicine, excited by the natural
sciences, but also hoping to help cure
his friend. Graduated on July 2, 1889
at the Faculty of Medical Sciences,
University of Buenos Aires, at age 30.
But before graduating, in 1886,
founded the School of Nursing
Medical Circle Argentine. died
Buenos Aires, 10 April 1934.
4. Carola was born on August 15,
1899 at Junction, party of San Vicente,
Buenos Aires, was the daughter of
Jose and Luisa Lorenzini Piana, the
seventh of eight siblings.
Carola Lorenzini was a great
sportsman. In 1925 she was champion
in athletics and was one of the first
women to drive a car through the
streets of San Vicente.
She in 1933 obtained her pilot's
license for Civil Aviator in '35 broke the
record high in 1940 joined the aircraft
in a raid fourteen provinces of
Argentina and was cover of "The
Graphic". Famous for her ability to
reverse looping extreme.
Lorenzini opened doors for all
women who aspired to vertigo and
height. Two of her immediate
successors were Maria Angelica
Medina and Luisa Quiroga, both
active members of the Women's
Organization Aeronavegantes.
5. Julieta Lanteri:
Julieta Lanteri (1873 - 1932) came to
Argentina from Italy with his family when he was
6 years old. His family after several residences
managed to settle in La Plata. In 1886, Juliet
entered the National College allowing her to
enter the university. In 1891 he chose to study
medicine, a profession forbidden to women,
but could be accessed by special permission of
the Dean, Dr. Leopoldo Montes de Oca. He
became the fifth care received in Argentina
and, together with the first graduate at this
university Dr. Cecilia Grierson founded the
University Association Argentina.
6. Rosario Vera Penaloza was
born on December 25, 1873 in
the village of Atiles, Department
Rivadavia, La Rioja. He
dedicated his life to teaching. He
founded the first kindergarten in
Argentina. The National Board of
Education commissioned the
formation of first Argentine
Museum for Elementary School,
now the Museum Complex Felix
Bernasconi Institute. After an
admirable career, became
Inspector of Secondary Schools,
Normal and Special.
