This document lists foods that are recommended for people with diabetes, including whole grains like oatmeal and whole grain bread, fish, fruits like apples, berries, avocado, and melon, vegetables like broccoli, onions, peppers, kale, carrots, tomatoes, spinach, and asparagus, beans, peas, clear soups, unsweetened yogurt and buttermilk, and unsweetened drinks like lemon juice, tea, and coffee.
