This document covers the topics of an international palace church's evangelism mandate for week 1-3. It discusses why Christians have a mandate to evangelize and share the gospel message, defines what evangelism is and is not, explores motives and methods for evangelism, and emphasizes the role of the Holy Spirit in empowering believers and convicting unbelievers. The key takeaways are that the 5 Cs (command, condition, concern, competition, and consummation) back the evangelism mandate, and the 3 Ps (power, personnel, and plan) enable successful evangelism when the Holy Spirit is involved at each stage.
2. WEEK 1
•WHY YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE
•WHO IS TO BE BLAMED ?
•WHAT IS THE MANDATE ALL ABOUT?
•WHAT EVANGELISM IS NOT
•WHAT EVANGELISM IS
3. 2 KINGS 7:3-10 (KJV)
WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM THEN IF EVEN LEPERS WERE WILLING TO SEND THE GOOD NEWS ?
4. Christianity is a movement to
be advanced, not merely an
institution to be maintained.
Research has proven that
about two-thirds of the world’s
population have never heard
the gospel message.
Over a thousand people or
groups have never been
penetrated with the gospel of
our Lord Jesus Christ.
WHO WOULD YOU BLAME FOR THIS STATE OF THE CHURCH ?
5. MANDATE FOR EVANGELISM
• The mandate of evangelism is an official order or commission from the Lord Jesus to every Christian, which demands
proper execution
• But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me
everywhere--in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8
WHAT IS EVANGELISM?
• Evangelism is the sharing of the gospel message or the good news of Jesus Christ. The English word “evangelism” comes from
the Greek word “euaggelion” which in the verb tense means to “announce” or “bring good news.”
• Evangelism is communicating the gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit in such a way that men, women and children have
valid opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord and become responsible members of His church. (Acts 20:24,
Psalm 105:1).
CAN WE STAND BEFORE GOD ,IF WE DISREGARD THIS GRAND MANDATE?
6. WHAT EVANGELISM IS NOT
Mute Approach
Isaiah 56:10
The Numbers Game
Evangelism does not have to be
done with the external motivation
of only increasing numbers of
seemingly saved souls. The focus
should rather be on the
effectiveness of the evangelism
and then by virtue of the gospel,
multiplication follows.
2 Cor 5:11-12
Professionals Need Only Apply
Evangelism does not require any
other qualification except being
born again. Once you have
accepted Christ, you have the
responsibility of evangelizing no
matter where you find yourself.
1 Pet 3:15 ,2 Cor 5:18-20 ,
Acts 8:4
Cop-Out
Evangelism does not offer the
opportunity to list excuses , no
matter how convincing they may be.
Once you receive Jesus as your
Lord, you receive His responsibility
and mandate of evangelism and you
cannot fail Him by listing excuses.
Matthew 28:19-20 , 2 Tim 1:7-9
Acts 18:9-10

ARE YOU A GOOD STEWARD OF THE MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL?
Romans 1:16 (KJV)

salvation to every one that believeth; to the
Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Matthew 28:19 (KJV)
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and
of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

11. THE FIVE “C”S OF THE MANDATE OF EVANGELISM
COMMAND: The mandate of evangelism is first based on the principle of command.
Evangelism is commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:8)
CONDITION: The sinful circumstances or condition of the world with regard to their
lives today and the future must motivate and drive our passion to win souls for the
Lord. (Ezekiel 33:8)
CONCERN: Evangelism must be done with a heart of compassion and love for the
lost souls. The Apostle Paul, was filled with this divine compassion for his fellow
Israelites. (Rom 9:3)
COMPETITION: Our failure to win our global neighbors who hunger for the truth will
cause other competing religious and political forces to win them into their fold. (Luke
23:39-4).
CONSUMMATION: It simply means the end of all things. Jesus emphatically said
global evangelism is a precondition of His return to earth and the end of time.
(Matthew 24:14)
