hybrid environments. Services can be made available to users through a self-service portal
that allows users to order predefined IT services without IT operations getting involved.

21. Foreman and ManageIQ
Usecase 1 - I have 20 Fedora virtual machines running on local libvirt, what do I use to
make them compliant?
Solution - You can add them to compute resource of foreman and use native
compliance plugin (OpenSCAP). You can not use MangeIQ here since libvirt is not
supported provider.
Usecase 2 - I have 20 Fedora virtual machines running on OpenStack, what do I use to
make them compliant?
Solution - Now you can use ManageIQ too since OpenStack is one of the supported
provider. You can use policies and Ansible integration features to make VMs compliant.
Usecase 3 - I want to take virtual machines snapshots and save it for rollback, what
should I use?
Solution - ManageIQ. We are using advanced features of virtual machine here so
ManageIQ would be best choice.
