Dear Parents and Friends of West Island
I am delighted to enclose the preliminary report of our IB and Advanced Diploma
results 2010 for your perusal for West Island School as well as the ESF wide results.
Please note there are several tables to scroll through for the breakdown of results for
WIS IB.
We are very pleased to note that we have the highest IB grade point average across
ESF schools this year of 34.1, as well as the most students with 40 and above scores,
35 and above scores and 30 and above scores. See attached for more details.
Our Advanced Diploma students have also done exceptionally well this year with all
passing and many distinctions evident. (see attached)
As a final point while we are still awaiting some university decisions so it would be
unwise to give firm statistics at this early stage, we do know that the vast majority of
our students achieved a point score at IB and in the Advanced Diploma which
enables them to access their first choice at university. I will report on this in more
detail in August.
With best wishes
Jane Foxcroft
Principal
West Island School
