High taxes on the right to emit pollutants [EU] → remaining industries will close
To avoid this - and create a new industry in itself:
Carbon Capture & Storage [CCS]
↓CO2 emissions by 90%
Helps UK meet EU target of ↓CO2 emissions by 80% by 2050
Secure industry → secure 12,000 jobs + add upto 2600 new jobs → regional
multiplier effect
