On September 11th, 1987, two year old Tiffany Forbes vanished
from a day care center in Jamestown, Ohio. Not a single witness saw her
go. Not a single clue was left behind. The girl’s disappearance unleashed
a destructive malevolence that lay waste to an entire city.
Tom Forbes has never gotten past the loss of his little girl. Tom’s life
with his beautiful Karen imploded along with his career. He barely exists
in the desert, lost in a mind numbing fog of alcohol and drugs.
FBI legend Carl Franklin Horner is three years into retirement. The
guns have been put away and the original Manhunter has found a new
way to live. However, a storm is brewing in Jamestown and Carl knows
he must return to the way he was.
The ghost known as Joe Danton, everybody’s prime suspect, disap-
peared along with the girl. Now, Joe Danton is back. And he claims
to know what really happened all those long years ago. After admitting
to time spent in a mental health facility, can anything Joe Danton says
be true?
Twenty-six years after the crime, this unlikely triumvirate will
join forces to solve one of the strangest mysteries of our time.
William Jeffrey Patus lives in Welland, Ontario and onVancouver Island. He is
currently working on his next novel, Dark Heart. He can be reached via email at wil-
