About
As a university professor in botanical sciences (University of Ghent, Belgium) I did research in plant morphology and anatomy (mainly stomata). Interested in the social aspects of daily life in the drylands, I developed in 1982-1992 the soil conditioner TerraCottem and set up many humanitarian projects on all the continents to improve the living standards of people in dry regions.
