After flying high in 2014, video games M&A has tightened up in 2015--not for lack of interest, particularly from Asian buyers, but because desirable targets have become rare. What makes a gaming studio a viable--and valuable--acquisition target? What are buyers out of Asia looking for in particular? And if you're not there yet, how do you get there? Join gaming legend Jim Perkins, the publishing force behind games like Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein, Doom and more, for a look at what it takes to successfully sell a gaming company.
Supply Chain Management and Logistics technologies prove to be key weapons in the battle of retailers against Amazon and other e-commerce giants. With tools that facilitate ease of supplier relationships, forecasting, improved business processes and integration, SCM and Logistics software providers deliver value to their customers and are rewarded with growth outpacing the rest of the software sector, with valuations nearly 7x revenue.
Join WFS on October 1 as we examine how these trends impact M&A for SCM and Logistics technology providers. With the top 5 vendors accounting for less than half of the market, will we see a wave of consolidation for the smaller players and point solution providers? This complimentary webcast is for CEOs, investors, private equity firms and acquirers who want to enhance their strategic planning with a better understanding of the SCM and logistics landscape, and the current demand for supply chain and logistics technology in today’s M&A market.
The Internet of Things is driving tremendous innovation, differentiation, and value. Buyers like Google, Samsung, CISCO, Intel and Qualcomm spent $14B to acquire over 60 IoT-related companies last year, doubling the number of IoT acquisitions, and increasing spending 40-fold. Still, Cisco reports that only 1% of potentially connected devices are actually connected. As the other 99% come online, the opportunities for IoT software are remarkable, and the value of innovative companies building that software is increasing. This Market Spotlight webcast will examine the opportunities for these companies in today’s M&A marketplace, with perspectives from analysts, bankers, investors and CEOs.
In a world of blurring lines and free-flowing data, the need for security technology is more keenly felt than ever. High profile breaches at companies like Target, JP Morgan and Sony – with more announced seemingly weekly – are regular reminders of the threats to data and digital assets. This, in turn, is driving high valuations and significant deal flow for innovative security technology firms. This Market Spotlight webcast will examine the specific technologies receiving the most interest, with perspectives from analysts, bankers, buyers, investors, and CEOs.
