Study Jams are community-run study groups
for developers. This is a great opportunity to
bring members of your community together to
learn something in person.
These trainings will give your community
members a specific skill they can use for
personal development or career advancement.
What is a Study Jam?

4. Why attended a Google Cloud Study Jam?
With a Cloud Study Jam, you will learn the
fundamental tools and capabilities of Google Cloud.
You will receive free access to our online labs. You
can choose any of our recommended tracks :
Machine Learning, Kubernetes, Certification, IoT, and
Security.
After the session, you can continue taking labs to
earn Google Cloud badges.

12. Let’s Get started

13. First, go to the link provided by your facilitator.
This will earn you one month of free access to Qwiklabs.
Second, if you don’t already have a Qwiklabs account,
create one now. Make sure you check the opt-in box for
promos!
If you already have an account, go to
qwiklabs.com/my_account/profile, check the Marketing
Opt In box and click the Update User button.
That makes you eligible for additional free access after you
complete the GCP Essentials labs.

15. Let’s make our profile public and prepare our
link for celebration! You can share your
profile link with others online
On the left options, click on “My Learning”,
then on the top right corner make your
profile public if it’s private, and copy that
link.
Your badges appear here. Now send your
profile link to your facilitator on Twitter

hashtag #CloudStudyJam and

17. You have completed the labs and you now have a good basic understanding of Google Cloud Platform.
Congratulations, well done! From here on you will pick your own path and continue at home:
1. Complete the remaining four labs in the GCP Essentials quest (qwiklabs.com/quests/23). This will earn you an
online badge and one additional month of free access to Qwiklabs. (You will receive an email about the
additional month of free access about the time when your first month of access runs out).
2. Share your badges with the world by going to google.qwiklabs.com/dashboard and clicking View Public
Profile.
3. Tell fellow attendees when you have completed step 1. Your Facilitator will share the online channel for your
group.
4. Decide on which additional badges you will go for from google.qwiklabs.com/catalog. Remember that your
free Qwiklabs access has an expiration date.
