7. Year 13 Statistics and Modelling In Statistics we investigate data. Statistics is a important tool on many subject areas where correct interpretation of data is needed. We look at different distributions, bi-variate and time series data and also investigate probability. Most of the datasets are real and from a variety of contexts from Science, geography, economics amongst other subjects.
8. There are four external standards and three internal standards. All the internal Achievement Standards are done on the computer using a statistics package called GenStat. If you have any questions, you should see Ms Chapman or Mr Adams
9. Year 13 Calculus If you enjoyed the Algebra and Calculus topics at Year 12 ( and below) you will probably enjoy Calculus. Calculus is a branch of Mathematics focused on Differentiation and Integration. Calculus is the study of change, in the same way that Geometry is the study of shape. Calculus has widespread applications in Science, Economics and Engineering.

24. Year 13 Chemistry Chemistry is the study of the composition, structure, properties and reactions of matter. Analytical Chemistry: Investigate the amount of a substances in a commercial or environmental context. Discover the application of redox reactions to electrochemical cells (Batteries). Examine structure, bonding and periodic trends in greater detail. Determine energy changes in chemical reactions. Investigate even more organic reactions and find out why polyesters are called polyesters. Delve further into the world of acids, bases and equilibrium reactions. Find out the answer to “How soluble is insoluble?” Year 13 is a reactively good time!

If you are less strong in these areas but enjoy the musicology aspect of the subject and would like develop these skills, you choose MUSIC STUDIES.
