This document provides information about a taster weekend course on repairing ceramics taught by Lynne Edge, an accredited ceramics conservator. The course will cover understanding ceramic objects, choosing correct materials, repair techniques like removing previous repairs, bonding breaks, filling missing areas, and colour matching. It is aimed at those interested in learning ceramic repair, identifying repairs, or pursuing a career in ceramic conservation. The course will take place over two days in July at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery conservation department.

opportunity to learn from Lynne Edge; the only
professionally accredited conservator- restorer of
ceramics and glass in the north west and midlands.
Lynne regularly delivers lectures and seminars and has
produced a range of teaching materials from NVQ to
MA level. She has trained and mentored students from
the UK, Sweden, Netherlands, USA, Italy and Malta.
