The client is proposing a £100,000 advertising campaign for a new fruity and sophisticated perfume targeted at young female adults aged 18-23. The campaign would utilize TV advertisements and magazine ads to introduce the new scent to the market and portray sophisticated yet mysterious women wearing the perfume. The target market includes urban and rebellious young women who enjoy shopping and going out at night to parties.
1. Client proposal
In order to create an advertising proposal, I need
to gather information about the company that
makes the product, where it wants to advertise,
what it wants the advertising to achieve and how
much it has to spend.
The advertising budget for my campaign to
advertise my perfume , is £100,000.
- What do you want your adverts to achieve?
I would like my advert to introduce a new type of
perfume to the market and to bring a new smell in.
e.g. fruity and sophisticated
- What type of advertising will suit your campaign?
I think the best type of advertising for my product
would be a tv advert and magazine adverts.
Because the perfume is targeted atyoung adults,
and they read magazines all the time and watch the
tv all the time.
- Type of print advert I have in mind:
I want my advert to look like sophisticated women
in there late teen/early 20’s. She will be in black and
white ,in a plain white room, looking a bit sad but
mysterious.
- What is the target market?
My ideal target market would young adults, aged
18-23 female. My client would have to love buying
2. perfume and always go out at night to wear the
perfume. Also they would be interested in parties
and the up to date fashions. They would also not be
too girlie, urban and like to be rebellious. She
enjoys shopping in high street shop.
