Title: - Fabrication of Al surface Composite via friction stir processing.
Friction stir processing (FSP) is a new solid state fabrication technique used for
homogenizing, refining the grain structure and improving the mechanical properties. In this
project FSP at different rotational and transverse speed is used to disperse TiB2 ceramic
particles on aluminium alloy surface to improve micro structure and mechanical properties
which are very much need in marine, defence and automobile applications. The effect of
rotational and transverse speed on the mechanical properties was studied.
