Jessie proceedsto taking her seatbeltoff and tries to open the car doorbeforeMason takescontrol
of it
Mason: Please letme helpyou?
Mason helpsJessieget out of the car and closesher passengerdoorto walkinto the schoolbuilding

SCENE II
Mason and Jessie walk intoschool and head for the lockersso that Jessie can put her coat away.
They walk arm inarm as an aid for Jessie.
Jessie: Are we nearthe lockers?
Mason: Yep,justhere.
Jessie: Where?Oh.
Mason: Yep,there yougo.
Jessie:Um,doyou have the keys?
Mason: Yes,it’sthe top one there.
Jessie:Thatone?
Mason: Yep.
Jessie struggleswith the keys
Mason: Got it?
Jessie:Uh…holdon,I’m fine,it’sfine[Jessiefeelssad and defeated] Canyoujustunlockitfor me?
Mason: Yeah.
Jessie:Thankyou.
Mason unlocksthelocker
Mason: There yougo! Do you wantme to holdyour bag?
Jessie:Yes,please.Andthis?
Mason: Yep.
Jessie:Thanks.
Jessie takesoff her coat,placesit in her locker and shutsthe door

Jessie goesintothe bathroom to wash her hands whenshe meetsAmy inthere. Amy noticesthat
Jessie has a lump in herhair and offersto fixit.
Amy:Oh heyJessie,howare you?
Jessie:Oh,hi.Isthat A…
Amy:Amy,yeah.
Jessie:Yeah,yeahI’mfine,howare you?
Amy:Oh yeah,I’mgoodthank you.
Jessie:Good.
Jessie movestodryherhands
Jessie:I’ll justdrymyhands.
Amy:Oh you’ve gota loose bitinyourhair, doyou wantme to fix it?
Jessie:Ohyoucan justtake it outif youwant,yeah,take the whole thing…

It’s a Saturday morning and Jessie comesout of her room to have a shower,passing herparents
room on the way
Mum: Morning Jessie!
Jessie:MorningMum.
Mum: Do you needahand?
Jessie:NoMum,I’m fine.
Jessie entersthe bathroomand closesthedoor,takesa showerthen goesbackto her roomto get
ready forher friendsto come round
[Mason and Caitlyn knockon thedoor]
Jessie:[Walking towardsthestairs] I’ll getit[Startsto walkdown themand stumbles]
Mum: Jessie,whatare youdoing?
Jessie:Ican opena door,Mum.
Mum: We have a chair for a reason! [opensthefrontdoorto speakto Mason and Caitlyn] Canyou
helpherplease?
Caitlyn:Whatare youdoing?
Mason: Jessie
They help Jessie to the bottomof the stairs

gettinga guide dog.

Jessie:[Laughs] Idon’tknowhowhe’s goingtofeel abouthavingaguide dogaroundthough.
Caitlyn:[Talking to Tigger] What do you thinkabouthavinga guide dog?
Mason: [Talking to Jessie] Seriouslythough,whatdoyouthinkabouthavinga guide dog?
Jessie:Idunno…Idon’twant that much helpyanno.

Dog.
Caitlyn:Hasanyone done the courseworkfortomorrow?
Jessie:[Laughs] No.
Mason: [Laughs] No.
Caitlyn:Ihaven’tstarted,no,sobehind.
Mason: It’sso hard.
Caitlyn:It’ssohard, I thinkI’mgonnastart tonight.
Jessie:Sirgave me a dead…anextensiononthe deadline
Mason: Lucky you!
Jessie:Yeahitwasnice.
Mason: Got longerthanus now!
[All laugh]
Jessie:YeahIknow,thatwas my plan.
Caitlyn:WishIhad that.
[All laugh]
Mason: Me too.
