 Cost per Km of tyres has traditionally been defined
in terms of Tyre Initial purchase and tread life.
However, the cost of fuel the tyre consumes because
of rolling resistance is more than the initial purchase
price of the tyre.
 Rolling resistance makes up 30-33% of the total fuel
cost of a truck as per US Dept. of Energy.
 The phenomenon is quite complex, and nearly all
operating conditions can affect the final outcome of
Rolling Resistance, which is invisible through Tyre
low pressure, Tyre Tread wear, Mechanical Tyre
wear irregularities, Type of Tyre ( Radial or Bias),
