Teratoma is a tumor caused by the individual development of germ cells. Symptoms include chest pain, cough, fatigue, and shortness of breath. Treatment may involve chemotherapy or surgery to remove the tumor, especially if there is a risk of recurrence. One example described a 4-month-old kitten that presented with a large mass involving its left ear area and temple. Surgical resection was performed to remove the tumor. There is no prevention for teratoma since its cause cannot be avoided.

Well usually they are given chemotherapy which
consist of medicine. Sometimes they advise for
surgery if they fear that it may come back.
6. ANIMALS CAN ALSO GET TERATOMA EXAMPLE
A 4-month-old kitten was presented with a large mass over
the temporal area involving the base of the left ear.
Cytological evaluation of a fine-needle aspirate was not
diagnostic. Computed tomography was used to
determine tumor extent. Surgical resection was
performed, which included parts of the orbital
rim, masticatory muscles, the complete ear canal, and the
pinna. Reconstruction of the ocular muscles was
performed, and the skin defect was reconstructed using a
single pedicle advancement flap.
